Taking GOOD Notes

There's a difference between good notes and bad notes. Good notes are easy to use for studying for tests and can easily be read while bad notes are hard to use for studying and can't be read. Here are some tips for good notes along with a little example of a good note that is easy to understand.

Good Tips for Taking Notes:
*Use bullet points.
*Don't write sentences unless needed, try to jot down short sweet and simple facts/info.
*Use "cornel notes" (I'll show what they are down below).
*Underline, Cross out, and highlight. Don't be afraid to do these!
*ALWAYS have the date.
*Use sticky notes.
*NEVER use pen.
*Use abbreviations.

Here are reasons why to use the tips:
Bullet point- it's easier to find info when they are in lists.
Short- Longer sentences usually have to much info.
Underline- Most of the time underlined stuff is the MAIN topic
Cross out- Erasing sometimes takes to long and if u cross it out, maybe it IS a fact you needed and you can rewrite it.
Highlight- it brings out certain facts/info.
Date- Sometimes the teacher wants you to refer to a certain date.
Sticky notes- Keeps places.
Pen- if you DO need to erase, you can't erase with pen.
Abbreviations- Usually take less time like using w/o for without or info for information.
